My theme for this year...

OK Well after thinking about it a lot and getting some great a advice from my bloggy buddies, I decided that I am going to stick with my idea of Bright and Colorful (aka That's cute and I want it) for my classroom theme. I figure "cute" has worked for me for going on 13 years and I have received many compliments on my classroom over the past years so I must be doing something right. So to "celebrate" my decision I am linking up with Surfing Through Second Grade and her classroom theme link party!!

I have posted some things that I have already made for my classroom but I am going to repost the pictures here again to be in the spirit of the linky!

First off, something new.... I decided to make signs to hang over my tables. I think they came out SO cute!

Check them out!
This one is obviously for one of my student tables

This one I am going to hang over my small group reading table

Here are a few other things I have made for my classroom that goes along with my theme of Bright and Colorful

This is for my organizational binder - Their GO Book

These are some cushions I made to go on top of my crates to make seats for my listening center

This is a seat and back cushion I made for my classroom rocking chair - I just bought a sewing machine and this was the 2nd thing I've ever made - its not perfect but I like it

This is going on the wall

So is this

And this rounds out the trio - Instead of Eat, Pray, Love we are going to Read, Play, Learn

I have been sick most of the day today so I didn't make it to Joann's to get the stuff to make my Welcome sign to go on my classroom door so I am hoping to get to that tomorrow. Well, that's all I have for today. I can't get into my classroom to start actually decorating until the beginning of August but I am exited to see how this, and some of the pre made stuff I bought all tie in together.
