Tomorrow is moving day! I am moving to my new classroom at my new school. I am SO excited to have this great opportunity to get to go bad to kindergarten and to teach at one of the top schools in my district. I am SO excited!
I'm also super excited about something else... I have been inspired by A Year of Many Firsts and I have FINALLY found a classroom theme idea I LOVE. Every year I say I am going to do a classroom theme and I am going to decorate all out with my theme and then I go shopping and I see all sorts of things that I absolutely love and they don't match my theme so I never really stick with a theme. Well thanks to Lyndsey over at A Year of Many Firsts I have figured out a theme that I am going to love! My theme is going to be Bright and Colorful with primary colors! I have noticed that a lot of teachers are doing the rainbow theme with the lighter colors but I love the bright primary colors so I am going to use that as my theme!
I am on the lookout for super cute primary color decor and accessories for my classroom now! I already have sue things that will be great accents and I am going to make this super cute tissue paper flower wreath but I am going to use primary colors
I am going to try to make this sometime in the next couple weeks so I'll post a picture of my finished product when I get it all done!
I am on the look out for other cute primary color decor and accessories for my classroom so if you know of any super cute ones please share them here!!

Currently... and more stuff I made!!
First off I have to say that today is mine and my honey's 20th wedding anniversary and I love him more today that I did 20 years ago today :-) I wouldn't be where I am today without his support and love. He worked his behind off all day and then would come home and take care of our kiddos so I could be home with the kiddos during the day and pursue my teaching degree at night. He was always very encouraging and he has always ben so supportive! He surprised me in my classroom today with roses and lunch - I just love him!
Anyway on to the fun stuff (LOL did I really just write that???) I am going up with Farley over at Oh Boy 4th Grade with her monthly Currently!!

Woo Hoo summer vacation is in site!! I only have 2 more days left with my 4th grade students, and then I am officially a kindergarten teacher again and I am going to be moving an awesome new school!! I couldn't be more excited! I can't wait for summer vacation because I have so many ideas and projects to work on since I am going back to the little ones, which bring me to the Linky Party!!
I am super excited to find this linky over at Falling into First! She is doing a fun link to share our summer Pinterest projects!! Click on the picture below to check it out!

I have also been SUPER busy making word family flip books!! I used to make these by hand with construction paper and die cut letters OR I would write out the letters. However, now that I have discovered the awesome world of super cute graphics, borders, and fonts I no long have to do this all by hand! So I spent a good part of the day today, while my current 4th graders were taking an end of the year test, and created several word family flip books!
When I taught kinder int he past I used these in my small group time as a quick review of word families and decoding. They are SOOOO easy to make - all you need is a printer, card stock, a hole punch, and some book rings and you are all set. Laminating them before you put them together makes them last a lot longer - SOOOO this will be another of my summer projects printing, laminating, and assembling all these word family flip charts!
Check out my finished product! Well one of them anyway...
| Not sure why this one is sideways and I couldn't fix it, but you get the idea! |
You can find these and a LOT more word families in both my TPT and my TN stores!! Click the links below to take you to my stores!

You know its summer when...
Well technically I'm not on summer vacation yet, I still have 4 more days with the students and then 2 days of post planning, one of which will be spent moving 12 years of teaching "stuff" to a new school. Thank goodness I have a 6' 2" 220lb 19 year old son who doesn't mind helping his momma move (mostly because he gets to drive his dad's truck to do it).
ANYWAY.... I am in summer vacay mode so I am joining up with Kindergarten Lifestyle's "You know it's summer vacation when..." Linky Party!!!

Head on over and check out the fun but first here is my list of how I know it is summer vacay time!!!
AND FINALLY MY FAVORITE...

New Activities posted on Teachers Notebook!
Check out the newest activities I posted on Teachers Notebook and Teachers Pay Teachers!
This one is called Cookie Jar Counting and it comes with a set of cookie jar and cookie printables. The center requires the students to read the number on the cookie jar and then place the correct number of cookies "in" the jar. My students love this center!
This one is Hippo Counting. This is a matching activity. The students have to match the frame with the number on it to the frame with that many dots in it.
This is Beginning Sound Match. The students are required to match the frame with the letter to the frame with the picture that begins with that letter sound.
You can find these activities and more at my TPT or TN store!!!

My Teacher's Notebook Shop!!
I am SO excited! While teaching 4th grade I didn't get the chance to create cute and fun centers and now that I am going back to kinder I can do those things again!! In the 8 years I have taught kindergarten I have made SO many center activities for both reading and math and I used to make them with those cute little note pads and the bulletin board sets. My team mates were ALWAYS borrowing my centers. So I guess it only makes sense that now that we have come into the technology age that I would been making my centers on the computer.
I have been selling on Teachers Pay Teachers for a few months now and I have had fun with it and then today I opened my own Teacher's Notebook Shop!! I have already uploaded 6 activities and once summer time hits and my creative juices start flowing I am sure I will upload a ton more!!! I am also in the process of uploading the same activities to Teachers Pay Teachers.
I would love for you all to check it out - http://www.teachersnotebook.com/shop/cforeman4
